VISA REQUIREMENTS

 

STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PERSONS APPLYING FOR KOREAN VISA

 

      • Application form duly filled in and signed and must be typewritten

         (The Application Form can be obtained from the Embassy or

         downloaded from www.mofat.go.kr)

      • One 2X2 or passport sized COLORED picture

      • Passport (original and photocopy of the first page)

      • Photocopy of previous and valid advanced country visas (USA,

         Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Korea) for Frequent Travelers

      • Required documents ( see attached for a detailed list of requirements)

 

VISA APPLICATION SCHEDULE

 

   WINDOW 3

 

      • First time Travelers (Applicants who have never been out of the

        Philippines and do not have previous and valid advanced country visas)

      

   WINDOW 4

      • FREQUENT TRAVELLERS (Applicants who are holders of advanced

        country visas: USA, Canada, Japan Australia, New Zealand, Korea)

      • SEAMEN applying for transit visa

      • Applicants for TRAINEE visa (with Confirmation of Visa Issuance)

       

        Processing Time : 3 working days

        Please be informed that filing is from 9-11a.m. only on a first come, first serve basis.

 

        If transit (to the USA, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Australia only) no need

        to secure a visa, but must not stay beyond 30 days and with confirmed

        onward ticket to the 3rd country

 

   VISA FEES

      • No fee for 59 days below of stay

      • Fee of Php1,500.00 (or the equivalent of $30 in Peso) for 60-90

        days stay

      • fee of Php2,500.00 (or the equivalent of $50 in Peso) for more than

        90 days stay

      • fee for Foreign nationals will depend on their intended duration of

        stay and their nationality

   • Passport (original & photocopy of first page) (Must be at least 6 mos. valid)

   • Employment Certificate (original)

   • Personal Bank Certificate (original)

   • Individual Income Tax Return (photocopy)

   • If invited to Korea: Original Invitation Letter notarized in Korea & photocopy

   • of the Inviter’s Passport (1st page only)

 

ACR & ICR (for foreign national who are resident in the Philippines)

  • If personally invited to Korea: Original Invitation Letter an passport copy of the Korean Invitor
  • If invited by a company in Korea: Original Invitation Letter & photocopy of the Korean Company Business Permit.

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR RELIGIOUS WORKERS

   • Application form (typewritten)

   • One 2X2 or Passport sized colored picture Passport (original &

      photocopy of first page) (Must be at least 6 mos. valid)

   • Certification from the Church (original)

  • Church SEC registration copy

   • Personal Bank Certificate (original)

   • Original Invitation Letter notarized in Korea & photocopy of the

      Inviter’s Passport (1st page only)

  • The Korean Church registration form (photocopy)
  • If employee, submit employment certificate & ITR

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR BUSINESSMEN

   • Application form (typewritten)

   • One 2X2 or passport sized colored picture

   • Passport (original & photocopy of first page) (Must be at least 6 mos. valid)

   • Business Registration from SEC or DTI (photocopy)

   • Business Permit or Mayor’s Permit (photocopy)

   • PERSONAL Bank Certificate (original)

   • Individual Income Tax Return (photocopy)

   • If invited to Korea: Original Invitation Letter notarized in Korea &

      photocopy of the Inviter’s Passport (1st page only)

   • Invitation Letter from spouse (original)

   • Photocopy of the first page of the Korean national’s Passport

   • Marriage Contract in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by NSO (original & photocopy)

  • Korean Marriage History Certificate (from Korea)
  • CFO Certificate Copy

     

NOTE: Need to be interviewed by the Consul with their Korean husband/wife. (For first timers)

 

FOR HOUSEWIFE

 

  • Husband’s employment Certificate of Business Permit (SEC or DTI, Mayor’s Permit)

FOR KOREAN’S SISTER/BROTHER IN-LAW

  • Birth certificate of the applicant

   • Original & Photocopy of Certificate of Confirmation of Visa Issuance (blue form)

   • Visa FEE: Php2, 500.00 (single entry) Php 4, 000.00 (multiple-entry)

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR SEAFARERS (TRANSIT VISA)

 

   • Application form (typewritten)

   • One 2X2 or passport sized colored picture

   • Original Seaman’s Book (with logo of the company)

   • Photocopy of the first page of the Seaman’s Book

   • Photocopy of the first page of Passport

   • Original endorsement letter from Manning/Shipping Company in the Philippines

   • Photocopy of the Guarantee letter from the Korean Company

   • Photocopy of Overseas Employment Cert. (OEC)

   • Photocopy of Employment Contract

   • Photocopy of Medical Certificate

   • EDI (Electronic data Interchange) report & previous seamen sent

      to Korea. This can be requested from the Shipping Agent in Korea

FOR SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT IN KOREA OR C4 VISA (for entertainers, teachers, etc.)

  • Recommendation letter issued by the head of the relevant central government agency
  • For entertainers – recommendation letter from Korea Media rating Board
  • For teachers – recommendation letter from the ministry of Education
  • For Athletes – recommendation letter from the Ministry of Culture and Sports

 

FOR SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT VISA (IN SHIPYARD/SHIPBUILDING)

 

  • Guarantee Letter/invitation letter from Korea
  • Shipbuilding Contract between the buyer and the seller
  • Dispatch Letter from Company
  • Copy of Employment Contract

 

FOR APPLICANTS WHO HAVE A CONFIRMATION OF VISA ISSUANCE (CCVI) FROM THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE IN KOREA:

 

  • Filled application form
  • Confirmation of Visa Issuance Number
  • Php 2500.00 (visa fee0
  • Employment Contract (for E6 and F1 Visa applicant or Domestic Helpers)

 

Visa exemptions are as follows:

 

  • If using Philippine Official and Diplomatic Passport
  • If transiting only and going to the U.S., Canada, Australia, Japan or New Zealand. But not stay beyond 30 days and with confirmed onward ticket to the third country.
  •  If the individual has been to Korea for four (4) times within the past two years with a C2 or C3 visa. Or has been to Korea for more than ten (10) times already.
  • If Nationality is among the list of those exempted from securing a visa. For information, or list of these nationalities, you may visit the website.
